Video Hosting Sites With Affiliate Program

by Deepak on February 2, 2012

In the past few days we have seen lots of file sharing sites being shut down or their affiliate program getting closed. Video hosting took a massive hit with major players such as megavideo, videobb, videozer, putlocker, sockshare, videoweed, novamov, movshare, divxstage, stagero etc. either closing there affiliate program and/or deleting all the files with banning accounts.

Video Hosting Sites With Affiliate Program

With the exception of Putlocker and sockshare, all these video hosting scammed their affiliates of the money they earned with them by closing without giving proper notice and without paying them. However, there are few video hosts left who are still keeping their affiliate program alive.

Video hosts with working affiliate program

1. LetitBit

Letitbit offers upto $30 per 10,000 views, they count all the views of files more than 5 mb in size and been played more than 50%. They pay via webmoney, alertpay, paypal. However, for security reasons, they have blocked all access from USA ips.

2. XvidStage

XvidStage boasts of upto $25 per 1000 downloads and they allow all countries. They even support download accelerators for all members. They offer payments via paypal and minimum payment amount is $1.

3. ShareFiles4U

ShareFiles4U has exactly the same program as XvidStage, they also give $25 per 1000 downloads and pay from all countries. They also pay via paypal and minimum payment amount is $1.

4. VidBux

Vidbux offers upto $1 per 1000 downloads. Their minimum payment amount is $25, they pay only via moneybookers. They pay on net 30 basis for e.g. he money earned in August, you will be paid on September, 30th.

I hope the above sites help affiliates looking for alternatives to videoweed, novamov etc and we have also created a list of file sharing sites with affiliate program.

Putlocker has been one of the few sites which did not gave up in the epic change in the file sharing sector in the last week till now, but just an hour ago, the company has put the following statement on their site:

Effective February 1st 2012, the affiliate program is shutting down. We will be launching a Partner Program for original content creators in the near future.

But they also made it clear that they will pay their affiliates in full for what they will earn till 31st jan, Which should give some peace of mind to uploaders who were using Putlocker.

putlocker shutting down affiliate program

In the past few days, Internet has changed for most of us with Megaupload owner getting arrested and website’s shutdown, all file hosts are running scared for e.g. Fileserve closing their sites(videobb, fileserve, videozer, filejungle, uploadstation) and filesonic etc. Some having decency to tell and pay their uploaders, others just closing their affiliate program and some even closing their sites.

I personally respect Putlocker for their brave decision to pay up their uploaders. Following comments were seen on wjunction’s Putlocker’s thread by the uploaders

“Thank you for the heads up. Very Professional. ” – Moddag

“Thank you for everything MrPut, it’s been great fun. I will continue to link with put and sock regardless. Protect yourself and do what you gotta do”. – Thristle

“Thank you verry much Putlocker it was a great time with you ” – Simoestcoool

The above comments clearly state how good uploaders feel when someone do not just run off with their money and pay up what they owe them.

If you are looking for alternatives for putlocker and sockshare, I have complied a list of video hosts who still have affiliate programs along with file sharing hosts with affiliate programs.

Update 02/02/2012: Pulocker also closed affiliate program for its sister site SockShare on Feb 1. As promised they have payed most of the affiliate, though some are still waiting for their final payment.

unblock file sharing sites banned by dot

Hello Friends,

As mentioned in my previous post http://www.deepakarora.com/megavideo-mediafireblocked-in-india-department-of-telecom/, Department of Telecom (DOT) have blocked many file-sharing websites for India. After reading through on many blogs and forums, I have found out that MTNL, BSNL broadband people are mostly untouched by these changes as they have not been done by their ISP (as usual slow govt. work, but good for users).  It seems that DOT has issued Internet service providers like Reliance, Tata, Airtel etc instructions to block a list of sites and reliance, airtel have been first ones to block the sites (they are saving bandwidth and lots of money).  Other ISPs have blocked some sites while others are still accessible.
